Today, as we approach the start of the 2024-2025 school year, the leadership of GURD- Rwanda in partnership with AMPLIFY GIRLS held a one-day session for 21 girls under the scholarship scheme.
The achievements from the previous year were reviewed, and three students who took the national O-Level exam and passed were commended.
GURD-Rwanda's Executive Director, TUYISHIME Fidele praised the girls for their good behavior, academic performance, and the values they continue to uphold. He reminded them that the organization’s mission is not just to pay for their education, but also to support young people in building their agency through Sexual and Reproductive Health and Girls' education outcomes.
He told them that his wish for them is to become future leaders, to lead themselves, to learn how to set goals, build self-confidence, and make their own decisions.
They were given various school supplies valued at 683,000 RWF.
