As 2024 draws to a close, we celebrate three months of progress at the ICYIZERE Design Hub, a transformative initiative introduced byGURD- Rwandain partnership withThe Arthur B. Schultz Foundation. This program aims to empower vulnerable teen mothers who have dropped out of school by equipping them with skills to drive job creation and break the cycle of generational poverty in African communities. Our trainees have shown remarkable progress in both technical and life skills. They proudly share that they can now design clothes with greater confidence and skill. Beyond technical training, the life skills sessions have been a game-changer, helping them build critical competencies such as decision-making, informed choice, critical thinking, and self-confidence. One of the most profound impacts has been the emphasis on financial literacy. Through saving and lending activities, our trainees are learning the path to self-reliance and financial independence. We extend our heartfelt gratitude toThe Arthur B. Schultz FoundationandAMPLIFY GIRLSfor making this initiative possible and for their unwavering support in empowering African communities. Together, we are creating a brighter future for these young mothers and their families.
