Yvonne's life was changed, and she lost hope for the family and community after her pregnancy in secondary school; her dreams seemed to come to an abrupt end. She is now giving back to the community.

Everything changed when GURD-Rwanda connected her to Icyizere, a vocational training program in hairdressing. Through training, mentorship, and start-up tools, she gained the skills and confidence needed to rebuild her life and launch her own salon business.
